This weekend members of Havant Conservatives made the long journey to campaign in Canterbury.
Canterbury was a shock loss to the Conservative Party at the last general election. The constituency had returned a Conservative Member of Parliament at every election (apart from 1910 - 1918) since 1835. It had previously been one of the safest Conservative seats in the country and is currently the only constituency in Kent not to return a Conservative MP.
In order to reverse this, our Party must be proactive in the Canterbury constituency. We must win constituencies such as Canterbury if we want our Party to stay in office at the next election.
