Our chairman, Mike Fairhurst, and his wife Liz were lucky enough to go to No 10 Downing Street. They were invited by the Prime Minister, Theresa May, to a reception held in the State Dining Room.

The Prime Minister was on good form, giving a relaxed speech outlining the successes of the government and encouraging us all to take the fight to our opponents in this year’s elections.

A wonderful afternoon was rounded off for Mike and Liz by choral evensong in Westminster Abbey and dinner in the House of Commons with Alan Mak.
