Councillors and local residents were shocked and saddened to hear the news that Councillor Frida Edwards sadly passed away on Sunday 20 December 2015 following a serious illness.
Cllr Edwards was the first black councillor to serve on Havant Borough Council, having been elected in 2010 and re-elected last year to represent the Bondfields ward in West Leigh. She was a dedicated, hard-working Councillor, who care greatly about her constituents.
If you would like to pay your respects to Frida, a Requim Mass is to be held at:
St Joseph's RC Church, Havant on Thursday 14th January 10.30am, followed by a private burial to be attended by family only.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family at this difficult time.
